FIREARM COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT
Prior to applying you must provide proof of completing an approved firearms safety or training course that included live-fire practice in the physical presence of an instructor. Active military members and honorably discharged veterans can bypass this training by submitting military documentation.

QUESTIONS
Does this meet Florida's training requirement?
This course covers the classroom portion plus a live-fire qualification observed by a certified instructor — together they meet the Florida Concealed Weapon License training requirement.
Do I need my own firearm?
No. You are encouraged to bring your own pistol, but a firearm is available at the range if you don't have one. Your registration also includes a free training pistol and two targets, shipped after you register.
When is the live-fire qualification?
Sessions are held once a month, on the 3rd Saturday. The range location is emailed to you once your online training is complete.
What is the firearm competency requirement?
